Journal Entry Chapter 6:

In today's world, technology plays a huge role in classrooms now, so I feel that technology integration could pose as a challenge to me as a future teacher. Since COVID-19, technology has been implemented in classrooms and schools as a whole so much more than what it used to be. Technology has become an important tool within schools because it is now another version for how students learn. When you look around in schools now compared to years ago, you see chrome books, digital whiteboards, artificial intelligence, tablets, and much more.

I definitely feel that this could be a challenge for me as I consider myself to be a more traditional learner. I have never really been tech-savvy and have always loved the traditional use of pencil and paper. Besides using my phone, laptops and computers have definitely never been a strength of mine. During COVID, I had struggles learning how to use my chrome book whether that be using different softwares, saving and organizing documents, and even not understanding how to use applications like google docs correctly. I have since then come along way with learning about technology but would be lying if I said I didn't have to google how to do certain things here and there.

Online classes have helped me a lot in strengthening my technology use and I feel that if I continue to work hard at it and learn more then I will have less to worry about. I understand that as a future teacher I need to always work on continuing my learning and learn to adapt to issues that may not be my strong suit. Seeing how technology has become so normalized and relevant in today's world makes me doubt my abilities at times but my motto has always been "there's always room for improvement", and I always try to remind myself that so it can push me to do better both personally and professionally.
